No. The course begins with the absolute basics of software quality. The automation and SQL modules introduce just enough technical skill at a beginner pace, so you are never thrown in at the deep end.

Most students finish in around 12 weeks studying part-time, roughly 6–8 hours a week. Because access is lifetime and self-paced, you can move faster or slower to suit your schedule.

The curriculum maps directly to junior QA job descriptions across the UK. The Mentored and Career+ plans add CV reviews, mock interviews and application support to give you the best chance of landing a role.

You will work with Jira, Postman, SQL and Git, plus browser DevTools and a test management tool — the everyday toolkit of a working software tester.

Yes. On completion you receive a TesterCourse UK certificate. It is not a formal accredited qualification, but it demonstrates the practical skills you have built and looks great alongside your portfolio.
